A Directed Mass Impact, the military euphemism created during the Great War to describe the act of pushing an asteroid or other mass into a planet, moon or other body in order to damage resources, populations or the habitability of the target.
Kronos
An Athenian Guided Missile Cruiser, best known for drifting across the border its involvement in a cross border incident with an unknown Unity fast destroyer in the DMZ of the Pluton nebula.
The Universal Clock
A quantum clock located on Apollos, that communicates exact universal time using an FTL communication system dependent on entangled particles. This precise measurement of spacetime is a necessary component of interstellar gate travel and the FTL datasphere.
Scientists say that if the universal clock ever stopped broadcasting its signal galactic civilization would collapse.
Persephone
One of the House of Athena’s royal transports, most often used by Crown Prince Stephen Athena and Jonas Athena.
Freedom’s Price
A “planet killing” Unity ship able to corral and tow an asteroid of sufficient size to destroy all life on an average size inhabited planet. The ship was begun secretly by the Unity Military without the knowledge of CEO Cowhill in the year 308. It was launched in the year 312.
Gate Taxes
Each governing body or ruler owns the gates personally. The tax revenues generated from gate travel provide a major source of income for many rulers.
HMS Beta
The imperial ship used by ministers and others from the court when traveling on official business for the Empress. The only ship in the galaxy with a more important call sign is HMS Alpha, the Empress’s personal transport.
Hadris Gates

Nanite Rounds
An assassins ammunition that can accomplish specific tasks in the target’s body, inlcluding making them pass out without alerting their internal bio-sensors.
