Nanites
Nanites are robotic devices used inside the body primarily for medical purposes. Most people in the Pax Imperium have nanites in their blood at all times monitoring their body if not intervening to improve their health in some way or another.
Emergency medical nanites (EMNs) are a special class of nanite injected when a medical need arises. They are designed to perform life saving functions, such as coagulation and stimulating the adrenal gland.
Nanites can also be used to take over parts of the brain including the visual and auditory cortices causing the victim to hallucinate. When nanites are used in this way it is called a mind hack.
Heads-Up Device
A headset worn over the top of the head with a drop down eye-piece that projects images to one eye. With access to the online world, the device can act as a storage medium for videos or information. It can act as an paramedic giving advice to a person’s medical nanites in the blood and assisting them in addressing any crisis. The device can also be used to interact with the ubiquitous AIs of daily life.
However, heads-up devices are mainly used for a communications and heads-up display. The device’s thought based interface, is the preferred way to get messages.
Intraspace
The fully immersive successor to the internet. Wearers enter this world by use of an intraspace cap that goes on their head and projects experiences into their mind. When users first arrive they open their eyes into a transition space that is made to resemble something familiar so their mind can safely and smoothly grasp the change in their perceptions.
Intraspace combined with GPS has created a virtual world in which connected objects and people can have locations that correlate to meatspace.
Titan
The Titan is a bluefin class cargo vessel that runs in Unity held space.
The Leroy Jenkins
The Leroy Jenkins was a Goliath-class cargo ship in the Unity. When inspected, Robert Logan found a container of engineered salmon that the new cargo master was trying to smuggle onto Aetna. He was forced to turn the ship over to the gendarmes for inspection, but he did so only after making sure its captain, Charlie, was able to protect himself and the that the smuggling operation on the orbital.
Cynthy
Cynthy is the Unity term for a person, almost always a woman, who has had extensive beauty treatments, leaving her looking too “perfect” to be quite real. It is a mutation of the word synthetic. The House of Athena uses the term “mannequin.”
The Behemouth
The Behemouth is a Poseidon class fishing submarine based in Utopia on the moon Aetna
